There are some important philosophical mistakes in the book, and I’ve written a paper about one of them the idea of treating relations to our environment as constituents of our ourselvesbut ECL remains invaluable as a relatively complete overview of what is involved in constructing a truly ecological worldview, based in an understanding of the interdependence of all living things and the capacity of human beings to identify themselves for loving concern.
