Otherwise, it would depend on the other interfacing capabilities of Biopac, with which I’m not familiar. I was unable to find any reference to Biopac features to transmit information TO other systems. If not, how could i make it possible? This manua, to just be a way to display certain data being measured by Biopac on the screen in the AcqKnowledge software. In that case you don’t need their Acqknowledge any more. Since I have done some experiments with biopac and presentation toguether, I could not resist writing a post. Biopac input to Presentation Nathalie I would like to get heart rate mmp150 from Biopac to Presentation.
You cannot set up a server in Presentation that will accept connections from other systems.
Biopac can communicate with Ethernet connection. Jonathan Berrebi I am doing the same task in the scanner later. The CD includes dll files for C ,matlab, etc. What software did you use hoping for presentation? Presumably this might be possible, though I don’t know the nature of the API or the data that is transmitted.
So, my question is: I do program in Matlab but I would prefer not to do manuaal heart rate analysis algorithm by myself. That could be my feedback to participants. If MatLab can do this, you could consider using the Matlab extension, but I’m not sure what the timing of that would be manuql.
Therefore, I think they misunderstood your question – they probably thought you just wanted to view the heart rate value in real time, not communicate that value to another system which will change the stimulus display conditionally.

However, this may be beyond the capabilities of many users. Is there a possibility to take this as input to presentation online and use that info as an integer? That was the only way for me to have access to their signals “on-line”. What is the maximum frequency that these inputs can come in? You should tell them that you want to transmit the heart rate information to another system in order to dynamically change a stimulus display, and ask them if they have any capabilities for that.
I am waiting for a reply from Biopac on the “communicating to other system issue” I don’t think he misunderstood me but the answer surprised me to. If you can, I suppose you could calculate the frequency of the sinwave comming in and use that value to change the color of the display.
Presentation can record from a microphone, but manua does not analyze the wavefiles bippac all, or do anything with them during runtime other than save them.
Would that be possible to use the dll for matlab toguether with the matlab interface for Presentation?
Jonathan, how did you use the scanner signal? In the future I might change to the Ethernet solution though.
